Our people
We know the secret to our success isn’t our award-winning brands, our sell-out events or the specialist content we provide - it’s our people. We don’t believe your background, race, age or gender should have an impact on your ability to do your job, and neither should you. Our people are motivated and inspired by the work they do and are safe in the knowledge new experiences are just around the corner.
Andrew's journey
Andrew is the editor of Farmers Weekly – one of the most recent titles to join Â鶹´«Ã½. Until the coronavirus outbreak Andrew worked at Quadrant House in Sutton but now spends his days working on the magazine from home.
Farmers Weekly either hires journalists and teaches them about farming, or farmers and teaches them how to write – Andrew is one of the latter. He was brought up on a cattle and sheep farm in mid Wales and studied Agriculture at Aberystwyth University.
Andrew joined the magazine in 2016 as arable reporter and progressed to deputy business editor in 2018, before becoming editor in 2021.
Sophie's progression
Sophie is the editor or the British Journal of Nursing (BJN) and the Associate Publisher of the secondary care team in MA Healthcare, based in Herne Hill.
After studying Molecular Genetics at Sussex University, I decided research was not for me and found myself starting a career in publishing. I worked at various publishing houses, such as Informa, Nature and Thomson Reuters before I started at MAG in 2011.
When I’m not immersed in the world of nursing, I am either doing ballet, running, or picking up after my two girls and dolling out a constant supply of snacks.
More success stories
We pride ourselves in giving employees countless opportunities, so who best to hear about life at Â鶹´«Ã½ than the people who make it?
